Peru Planning Continues

Only 2 weeks until the big move and only a month until I head to Peru. Planning for both is going well, I spent the day packing up my apartment despite the sun burn that has attacked my skin. Only thing that got me through the day was aloe and the world's baggiest t-shirt.

As for Peru, now that the plane tickets to Lima and to Cusco have been purchased, as well as the train tickets to Machu Pichu, we are trying to make reservations for the hostels. So far we have three nights booked, only 5 left. I am very excited about a hopefuly overnight at one of the Islands in Lake Titicaca. Sadley, it will be freezing temperatures during our time in Puno, so we may need to see how miserable the whole situation is before commiting to sleeping on and Island.

Had a wonderful weekend of wine tasting in Charlottesville and hanging out on a boat we rented. (Hence the sunburn). Did you know the University of Virginia is a World Heritage Site? Indeed it is - as is Monticello. I thought a fun project would be to document all the Hertiage Sites that I have been too with photographic evidence...or possibly just me telling you that I have been there. Lack of digital cameras, combined with my school computer's death has left me lacking some photos. But I will do my Best. The first one I will conquer will be the United States....next entry.

Chicago

Last weekend me and some friends from college journeyed to Chicago to visit another friend. It was a great weekend and we got to see a lot of Chicago highlights. Above is the giant silver bean from Grant Park (note: I did not take this photo, as it appears to be from the mid 90s) .
There was definatley some kind of zombie convention (I kid you not) going on during our trip to the park...someone said it was a flash mob. Aside from that we ate a ton of food, saw an improve show and generally enjoyed hanging out.

I am getting to tired of flying. I feel like I spend my life in and out of airports. In the past 2 years here is the list of plane rides I have taken:
